  • Director Bridg. U. D. Thorat during ASPEN PLUS Software Training Programme Felicitation Ceremony

    Dept. of Chemical Engg. in collaboration with Dr. Babasaheb Technological University, Lonere organized Aspen Plus Software training programme for Third and Final year Chemical Engg. students. Dr. D. P. Mishra, Head of Chemical Engg. Dr. B.A.T.U., Lonere, Principal, Dr. A. N. Chapgaon, Prof. A. A. Bagwan were present.




     
  • Hon. Shri. Sanjay D. Patil, Chairman during inauguration of the MANTHAN, Annual College Magazine

    Every year college publishes an annual college magazine, which generally includes technical topics on various subjects, poems, articles, sketches written by the students, progress reports of departments, etc. In year 2004, college magazine, MANTHAN was published, which was one of the best college magazines ever. Hon. Chairman, Shri. Sanjay D. Patil inaugurated the magazine. Bridge. U. D. Thorat, Director, Principal Dr. B. D. Dalvi, Prof. A. A. Bagwan, Dr. K. T. Jadhav, Chief Editor, Mr. M. M. Pardeshi and members of editorial committee were present.

  • Inauguration of Chemical Engg. Laboratories by Mr. Ronge, Ex. Academic Council Member, Shivaji University.

    Dept. of Chemical Engg. started in June 1998. Four laboratories were set up during the initial period. Inauguration of Chemical Engg. Laboratories were done by Mr. Ronge, Ex. Academic Council Member, Shivaji University and Hon. Chairman Shri. Sanjay D. Patil. Principal Dr. B. D. Dalvi, Registrar Anil Patil and faculty members were present during the inauguration.

  • Team of GCL during Campus Interview of Gharda Chemical Pvt. Ltd., Chiplun.

    Every year Gharda Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. comes for Campus Interviews for final year Chemical Engg. students. Gharda Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. having very good industry–institute interaction with the Dept. of Chemical Engg. in terms of Industrial Training, Projects, Industrial Visits, Expert Lectures, Seminars and Placements of students.

     
  • Winners of Prodigy, Younger Research Conference, 2005 along with the Hon. Chairman, Shri. Sanjay D. Patil

    Chemical Engg. students of third and final year, won various prizes in PRODIGY 2005 Competition organized by University Department of Chemical Technology, Mumbai. Students won the prizes in various activities and competitions like bucket elevator, hide and seek and presentations. Hon. Chairman, Shri. Sanjay D. Patil congratulated to the all students and Dr. K. T. Jadhav, Head of Chemical Engg. for this achievements.

  • Hon. Chairman Shri. Sanjay D. Patil inaugurated “Process Dynamics and Control” Book written by Dr. K. T. Jadhav.

    Hon. Chairman Shri. Sanjay D. Patil, Mrs. Vajayanti Patil, Director Bridge. U. D. Thorat, Principal Dr. A. N. Chapgaon was present during inauguration of Process Dynamics and Control book written by Mr. K. T. Jadhav. This book was useful to Chemical Engg, Petroleum Engg, Petrochemical Engg. and Polymer Engg. Students.

     
  • Mr. Ravi Dolli, MD of Mayura Steel Pvt. Ltd., signed Memorandum of Understanding with Dept. of Chemical Engg.

    In Academic Year 2010-2011, our department has made the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Mayura Steels Pvt. Ltd. Kolhapur. With this MOU, Our Department & Mayura Steel Pvt. Ltd. will share the library facilities and various training programs. Problems related to environmental pollution control, energy conservation & recovery, water treatment in the industries will be discussed and solved.

     
  • Medical Camp was organized by Department of Chemical Engineering on the occasion of Birthday of Hon. Shri. Sanjay D. Patil.

    On the Occasion of the birthday of our beloved Chairman Shri. Sanjay D. Patil, Department of Chemical and Electronics Engineering organized Free Medical Camp on 19th February 2008. More than eight hundred poor and needy people from that area benefited by this camp. Doctors from D. Y. Patil Hospital helped us to organize this free medical checkup camp.

  • Lecture on Safety and Pollution Considerations in Industries by Mr. Y.G. Koli, Purchase Manager to our students

    Our department has organized guidance lecture of Mr. Y. G. Koli, Purchase Manager, Mayura Steel Pvt. Ltd. Kolhapur for the students of Chemical Engg. He has given key note lecture on resume writing, interview techniques, industrial working environment and responsibilities of engineers in industries.

     
  • Mr. Rajkumar Jain, MD of Alpha Blue Chem Pvt. Ltd. at the time of signing MOU with Dept. of Chemical Engg.

    Mr. Rajkumar Jain, Managing Director of Alpha Blue Chem Pvt. Ltd. signed M.O.U. (Memorandum of Understanding) with Department of Chemical Engg.
    Through industry-institute interaction, will provide projects, Industrial training and visits to our students. Mr. Rajkumar Jain has received Best Entrepreneur by Maharashtra Govt. and National Award for Excellence Performance in S.S.I. Sector.

  • Mr. Sangrulkar during felicitating the winners of TECHNOCHEM 2010, Project and Model Competition.

    We have organized a project and model competition TECHNOCHEM 2010 for Chemical Engg & Biotech Students in March 2010. Students from the various Engg. Colleges of Pune and Shivaji University participated in this project competition. This competition was organized to provide platform to the young budding engineers. Mr. Sangrulakar, CEO of Sona Chemical Industries, Mr. K. T. Jadhav, Mr. A. L. Jadhav, Mr. L. V. Malade were present.

  • Department of Chemical Engg organizes various Cultural Programmes every year during Annual Social Gathering.

    Department of Chemical Engg. organizes various cultural programmes like Musical Skit, Fashion Shows, Dance, Plays, etc. every year during Annual Social Gathering. These programs are popular in students from last few years. This year Chemical Engg. Students presented skit on Shivaji Maharaj, King of Marathas.

     
  • Workshop organized and Attended

      We have organized a workshop on Revision of Structure of Chemical Engg. Syllabus with TKIET, Warnanagar and PVPIT, Budhgaon in August 2007.
      We have organized training programme on Flow Sheeting based on Aspen Plus Software in collaboration with Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere in February, 2006.
      We have organized a workshop on Revision of Second Year Chemical Engg. Syllabus in September 2002.
      Attended workshop on Chemical Engineering Curriculum Development organized by TKIET, Warnanagar in Janury, 2010.
      Attended workshop on Modification in laboratory equipments and instruments in all Engg. branches organized by K.B.P. College, Satara in April 2005.
      Participated as Co-ordinator for workshop on Chemical Engineering Curriculum development organized by T.K.I.E.T., Warnanagar in November 2004.
      Attended workshop on Development in Chemical Engg. Curriculum by P.V.P.I.T., Budhgaon in September 2003.
      Attended workshop on Energy Management and Conservation by T.K.I.E.T., Warnanagar in March 2003.

YEAR 2005 - 2006

  Organization of 'TECHNOCHEM 2005' a national level technical paper presentation for college.

  Industry - Institute interaction with Gharda Chemicals, Excel Industries and Pentokey India Ltd., Chiplun.

  Various companies visited for campus like Praj Industries, Gharda Chemicals, Chiplun and Mumbai, Galaxy Surfactant, Panvel, Canpex Machines, Pune, etc.

  Now A.C.E.D.S. Libarary having 370 books worth Rs. 45,000.

  Placement of students in reputed industries like Reliance Industries, Gharda Chemicals, Hindustan lever, VDL, IOL, Pentokey, etc.

  Organization of 'TECHNOCHEM 2005' a national level technical paper presentation with project exibition and model competition.

  Industry - Institute interaction with Gharda Chemicals, Excel Industries and Pentokey India Ltd., Chiplun.

  Pariticipation in state level paper presentation orgnized at P.V.P.I.T. Budhgaon and bagged 1st prize.

  Now A.C.E.D.S. Libarary having 340 books worth Rs. 40,000.

  Placement of students in reputed industries like Reliance Industries, Gharda Chemicals, Hindustan lever, VDL, IOL, Pentokey, etc.

 Purchase of 5 COMPAQ computers from Banglore.

 Most of our projects are carried out in welknown companies like Reliance Energies Ltd., B.A.R.C., N.C.L., Gharda Chemicals, etc.

 Purchase of equipments from Universal, Banglore.

 Three first prizes at National Level 'PRODIGY 2005' organised by M.U.I.C.T. (formly known as U.D.C.T.) Mumbai in various competitions like Amzing Race, Elevator Trouble and Sim Plant.

 Campus interviews arranged by Gharda Chemical Ltd. Chiplun. One student is selected from our college.

YEAR 2003 - 2004

  Severe leakage problem has been solved within Rs. 12,000/- whose estimation was Rs. 2 lakhs by Civil Engg. Staff

  Succesful publication of college magazine 'SANWAD'.

  Fabrication of equipments at our department on our own. (By which saved Rs. 4.5 lakhs of the college.)

YEAR 1999 - 2000

  Incharge H.O.D. of Dept. of Chemical Engg. on 25th Sept. 1999.

 Arrangement of Laboratories.

 Connection of tap water and electric points in all laborotories.

 Only 5 equipments were presents at that time.
